Millions are one of our favourite bands of 2012, and I challenge people to find any people more excited than the Aussie Playlist team that their new track ‘Nineteen‘ has dropped.
Apart from being a ripping new tune by the Brisbane lads, ‘Nineteen’ has also received some VIP treatment in the studio, being mixed in Berlin by Gordon Raphael (The Strokes) , and mastered in New York by UE Nastasi (Lamb of God). Given the ties to the Strokes, it makes sense for ‘Nineteen’ to perhaps cash in on some slightly dirtier bass and guitar work, than ‘Slow Burner’ and ‘Guru’. At the same time Millions haven’t lost any of the bouncy enthusiasm that made their ‘Nine Lives Six Degrees’ EP so easy to chill to, fun to rock out with and the perfect soundtrack for a road trip. Millions first EP was an epic debut, and their live set I saw supporting Last Dinosaurs only accentuated my obsession with the band. With a new song in ‘Nineteen’, lets hope another EP or album (we should be so hopeful) isn’t far away.
So unfortunately the Soundcloud clip below doesn’t work on our site. However, click on it and it will re-direct you to Millions Soundcloud profile, where you can enjoy ‘Nineteen’ in all its dirty indie glory.
