The Perth boys from Stillwater Giants first caught my attention with their upbeat, feel-good tune ‘Not Like The Others’ and upon listening intently to their recently released second EP ‘Fly Under The Radar’, it has definitely become my new favourite.
As the weather is finally warming up, there’s nothing more perfect than lying down on the grass and listening to this smooth and laid-back song. Henry Clarke kills it with his relaxed and natural vocals, and the song really becomes a delight to the ears when the harmonies kick in. The guitar occasionally echoes the vocals, and this creates a very peaceful vibe. The jangly, indie, surf rock style is an extremely unusual, yet soothing mix and brings to mind a day at the beach, soaking up the sun with the wind in your hair.
Stillwater Giants will be hitting up Villa Nightclub in Perth for their CD launch on October 5th, and you’ll be pleased to know will be touring nationally in December. So grab your sunnies, hit the beach and unwind with Stillwater Giants and their new EP ‘Fly Under The Radar’.
