Melbourne four piece Dick Diver finished last year with the punchy single ‘Alice‘ and have now returned to the fray with an equally spectacular song called ‘Water Damage‘.
‘Water Damage’ is raw guitar rock being played at its very best. From the withdrawn vocals, to the mid-tempo beats this track just oozes these fantastic post punk lethargic vibes. Yet, at the same time it has a beautiful pop tinged melody and a really dreamy feel to it. It many ways the sound in ‘Water Damage’ reminds me a little of those by Bored Nothings and Courtney Barnett. Disinterested raw indie rock played in a way that is delivered with such coolness you cannot help but love it.
