Sydney post rockers Made in Japan are back with the first new material since their AMP nominated debut Sights and Sounds. Follow the fool is an ambitious eight and a half minute display of their musical prowess and creativity.
Beginning with an eerie echo and shaking drum machine beat, the track drifts into a cold dream pop riff before the real drum kit kicks in and the second guitar is added. At around the 2.10 mark James Cooneys sad and somehow distinctly Australian vocals are introduced and the song begins to hit it’s chops. It will be very interesting to see how Made in Japan’s new stuff is received, though critical darling the band has thus far failed to create a large enough fan base to financially support their careers.
