Dirt Farmer – Delilah Lightning

With a new EP set for release in mid 2013, Melbourne five piece Dirt Farmer have revealed their sweet new single ‘Delilah Lightning’.

Following on from their previous popular releases ‘Johnny Marble’ and ‘Kick It’, Dirt Farmer have really cemented their reputation as a band to watch with ‘Delilah Lightning’. Featuring a plentiful use of fuzzed out and wigging out rolling guitars, the five piece meander through a tune best described as a gorgeous delivery of chilled out slacker pop rock. I love the relaxed delivery of the vocals throughout, but my particular favourite is the wigged out psychedelic  hi hat/delicate guitar led progression towards the end. Its a real sway your hands, let the music suck you in and just roll along with it kind of track. Put simply, ‘Delilah Lightning’ is low fi indie pop bliss, so don’t miss them on their upcoming tour and get excited for their next EP.
