Sydney’s The Preatures have gone from strength to strength, and their latest single ‘ordinary’ signals that they have no signs of stopping soon.
Off their debut full length record ‘Planet Blue Eyes’, ‘Ordinary’ showcases that Americana style of indie rock dripping in flawless guitar licks and punchy vocals that has caused the Preatures to rightfully blow up into one of Australia’s biggest bands right now. It also comes with a sweet tour diary inspired video which is well worth a look to appreciate the heights The Preatues have climbed. 2014 was apparently their dress rehearsal, 2015 is Game Time for The Preatures.
If 2013 wasn’t big enough for The Preatures, with tours, breakthrough singles, cracking the top 20 of the Hottest 100, the five piece have just dropped their new single ‘Better Than It Ever Could Be’, suggesting the ride is far from over.
As soon as ‘Better Than It Ever Could Be’ opens up, you are hit with this gleefully upbeat melody, and you just know that The Preatures have done it again. Isabella Manfredi’s voice forms the incredible centrefold for which the 80s pop inspired melodica just bellows through in support. Next stop is probably world domination for these guys. Easily one of the most exciting bands on the circuit right now.
