Evan Jones, Cameron Urquhart, Blair Hall and Isaac Bradbury are The Universal, a Brisbane four piece whose music pensioners have been caught referring to as a ‘Racket’.

To celebrate the boys have announced a big East Coast tour, headlining some of their own shows, and playing a number of other gigs with fellow Brisbane indie mates the Jungle Giants. Parachute Youth – Can’t Get Better Than This Tour

Parachute-Youth-e1326502471183

Parachute Youth are a duo from Melbourne who have released the hit track ‘Can’t Get Better Than This’ off their EP of the same name, which I think is coming pretty close to being Australia’s dance anthem for 2012.

It has everything you want in a killer dance track. A mad heavy baseline, catchy vocal hook, and has that vibe that doesn’t just makes you want to dance, but forces you to. Everybody knows it, everybody has heard it, and if you haven’t seen it the videoclip for their hit track ‘Can’t Get Better Than This’, it’s also pretty sweet.

The great news for us is that Parachute Youth are also touring at the moment, in fact they are half way through a massive tour that has seen them go all over the country. But alas, the guys are still to play a host of shows in Canberra (tonight), Adelaide (June 15th), Hobart (June 16th), Melbourne (June 23rd), Newcastle (June 29th), before ending up at Mackay’s River Sessions festival on June 30th. So be sure to check out the details here, and catch the duo live, in what is sure to be a awesome gig.
