Colour Bomb – On The Run

Colour Bomb

Colour Bomb is the brainchild of two consenting adults, James Saunders and Tom Whitty, who in ‘On The Run’ deliver a fantastic alternative modern pop sound.

‘On The Run’ is the duo’s debut single, being a lush, melodic and heartbreakingly nostalgic story through the forever popular theme of young love. It has even got the support of Australia’s most popular artist in 2012, with Gotye describing ‘On The Run’ as a “Beguiling track in its entirety”. James Saunders vocals remind me a little of Chris Cornell, particularly on the pick ups into the chorus, and manages to really convey the depth of emotion the songs subject matter details. However, it is the rhapsodic progression of beats and synthetic overlay of guitars that really cements this track as one of my new nearly-summer favourites. Its adds such texture, and turns a delicate love song into a real catch of slow burner.

If you’re a big fan of ‘On The Run’, Colour Bomb are preparing for the release of their debut record in early 2013 so get excited!
